“I’m glad that he’s excited and coming here to win. I expect nothing less. It’s a great fight for the fans and I knew when I agreed to fight Angel that it would be a war. Truthfully, I can’t wait until May 22nd because he’s going to get the best Peter Manfredo Jr. there is” said Manfredo. “There’s a lot at stake for each of us in a title bout like this. He can say what he wants about me back in Chicago, but when we touch gloves before the fight all that stuff goes out the window. I’m glad he’s confident, but I’m putting in all the work ahead of the fight and I’m more than ready for Toro.”
The 29 year old Manfredo Jr. is wrapping up camp this week with his father Peter Manfredo Sr. in Pawtucket as he prepares to once again fight in front of his legion of fans at the Mohegan Sun Casino in nearby Uncasville, CT..
